Along with a close proximity to the Loop and easy access to Grant Park and the lakefront, many South Loop condo buildings also offer incredible views of the skyline and Lake Michigan, starting with my short list below. 1000M Although not quite finished yet, 1000M is easily one of Chicago’s most exciting new residential high-rises. Look for condos for sale at 1000M to range in size from smaller one-bedroom layouts to expansive four-bedroom penthouses. And thanks to the building’s location directly across from Grant Park, many units also feature spectacular, unobstructed views of the park, skyline, and of course Lake Michigan. The Grant Located at 1201 S.Prairie, The Grant is definitely one of the more under-appreciated condo towers in all of Chicago. Views from just about every single unit are terrific, and it’s also one of the better values you’ll find if you’re looking to buy luxury without paying an over-the-top price. And if you can find a unit that offers a north-facing view, you’ll be hard-pressed to find a better view anywhere else in the city. 6 North Michigan Although 6 North Michigan isn’t as tall as newer buildings like 1000M or The Grant, it’s undoubtedly one of the better options to consider for condo buyers who appreciate the unique combination of vintage charm and modern luxury. You’ll find the views of Millennium Park from most units to be quite extraordinary and if you’re up on the building’s upper floors, you’ll also enjoy views of the lake as well.
