Downtown Chicago and luxury condos go hand-in-hand and anyone searching for a new upscale condo residence should find plenty of desirable options available on today’s market. In some instances, buyers are drawn to all the new high-profile developments coming through the pipeline, like Vista Tower or One Bennett Park for example. But one already-established building that also can’t be overlooked during your search is Waldorf Astoria, and here’s why:

The Waldorf Astoria Spa

Obviously having direct access to one of the best spas in the entire country has plenty of upside. Back in 2015, readers of Condé Nast Traveler voted the Waldorf Astoria Chicago Spa the ‘#3 Spa in the U.S.’ and it has only gotten better since. From award-winning treatment packages

Luxury if you're seeking the ultimate luxury living experience in the heart of downtown Chicago, select buildings offer everything you could possibly imagine, including lavish living spaces, five-star lifestyle amenities, and views that will blow your mind. And if this seems like the kind of place that matches what you need in new big city condo, here's where you'll find many of Chicago's most extravagant units currently on the market.

Park Tower

Located at 800 N. Michigan Avenue, condos for sale at Park Tower put residents right in the middle of Chicago’s famed Magnificent Mile. Also home to the Park Hyatt Chicago, condo owners also have full access to a wide-range of hotel-style amenities here as well.

Fulton Market LoftsThe relatively recent opening of 1000 W. Fulton, also known as 1K Fulton or the Google building, as well as all the on-going commercial development that’s happening throughout Chicago’s Fulton Market neighborhood, are combining to make it one of the city’s ultimate walk-to-work locations.

But as you’ve probably noticed, condos and lofts in and around Fulton Market and surrounding West Loop area are now selling faster than just about any location in town. So just where should home buyers turn if living somewhere near Fulton Market tops the wish list? Well, if you’re looking to make a move sooner rather than later and prepared to act fast, here are several suggestions that may just be a perfect fit.

Chicago Condos with the Best AmenitiesIt goes without saying that most high-end new construction condos in Chicago offer premium interior living spaces that, for the most part, include all the bells and whistles. Everything from chef-inspired kitchens to stone or marble bathrooms are generally things you can expect from any luxury condo development, and in some instances, that’s already enough to win buyers over.

But with that said, most major developers today also go above and beyond when it comes to common building features and lifestyle amenities, allowing residents to enjoy a one-of-a-kind living experience that’s both luxurious and convenient on so many different levels.

If you’re someone who puts a high-priority on what a condo building offers beyond each individual living space,

One Bennett Park Apartments As you’ve probably already heard, One Bennett Park is widely considered to be one of downtown Chicago’s hottest new high-rises for luxury condo buyers to consider during a new home search. But along with featuring an incredible collection of lavish and luxurious condominium residences that price anywhere from $2 million to $6+ million, did you also know it’s a building that offers quite the variety of upscale rentals as well?

The first thing you’ll probably notice about rentals at One Bennett Park is that the mailing address is completely different from the condo portion of the building, which already makes it rather unique compared to other rental-condo combo towers throughout Chicago (condos are located at 451 E. Grand; rentals are located at 514 N.

The Three Most Expensive Blocks for Homes in Lincoln Park

The demand for high-end single family homes in Lincoln Park is still strong; in particular, in East Lincoln Park along the 1800 – 1900 blocks of North Burling, Howe, and Orchard Streets, just east of Halsted. Seventeen homes have sold for $5 million or more since 2008, and two homes sold in 2018 for $5,625,000 and $6,788,625.  But these are not record Lincoln Park home prices. In 2010, 1866 North Howe Street sold for $8.5 million and a little over $9 million in 2013, and 1955 North Burling Street sold in 2015 for $13,345,373

The concentration of Lincoln Park mega-homes on just these three blocks can be attributed to a change in the zoning laws, allowing houses on Burling, Howe, and

Kitchen Design Trends in Luxury Homes

While many Chicago luxury home buyers tell me that the only thing they make for dinner is reservations, a kitchen can make or break a deal. It not only has to resonate with the buyer’s aesthetic, it has to be open, welcoming and functional with the latest bells and whistles and, ideally, a built-in coffee station.  It’s where they see themselves at the end of a long day, sorting mail while pouring a glass of wine, supervising homework, or catching-up with family and friends before going out to dinner. The kitchen island is command central in 2018 kitchen trends in luxury condominiums and homes.
